Berocca effervescent tablets contain a small amount of aspartame. Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that is widely used. In Europe, a full risk assessment was conducted on aspartame and concluded it is safe at current levels of up to 40mg per kg of body weight. This means if you weigh 70kg, 2800mg of aspartame per day is acceptable. Berocca effervescent tablets contain only 25mg of aspartame, far less than this.
